Global Issue 6: Gay Marriage I did a drawing of Gay Marriage a while back, but this new artwork depicted more of what the issue meant. At first, my initial idea was to draw a heart and fill it with different and vibrant colors. As simple as it sounded, I thought that the idea was not ready to be transferred to paper yet. It was too simple; anyone could do a simple artwork like that. And I wasn&#8217;t really particularly fond of any simple artworks. I mean, if I really want to create an art, then there should be a meaning or symbol behind it. So I put the initial idea aside and started working on some other stuff. Not until few days later when I saw a picture of a colored fingerprint on Tumblr. BAM! That was what I was waiting for&#8230;the missing piece to the puzzle. The fingerprint represent that being gay is not by choice, but it is an identity. The colors represent that love knows no gender, age, or ethnicity. Love is about the relationship of two people. You know, it surprises me the most when people judge gays just because two people love each other. I do believe that to question homosexuality is to question love, and to question love is by questioning God. &#8220;God is love.&#8221; 1 John 4:16 So if anyone tells you that homosexuality is wrong or is against the bible, tell them that they&#8217;re questioning God&#8217;s authority.
